Susan Foster was one of the only alumni from any of Tom’s previous films. Susan worked on ‘Born Losers’, playing a young ingenue that gets mixed up with a motorcycle gang, much to her mother’s horror. In ‘Billy Jack’ Susan plays Cindy, a much more street-wise beauty who puts fellows like Bernard Posner in their place, like she did in the famous ‘Up Yours’ scene.
Looking Susan up online, I see she went on to many jobs including The Partridge Family, Marcus Welby, M.D., Love American Style, and Columbo.

Susan is still totally hot and is still a working actor, she is my mom!
Great to hear that’s she’s ( and you) are doing well. Billy Jack was an important movie when I was a teenager.
So your Mom is still working? That’s awesome! I had such a HUGE crush on her growing up…I was born in the 70′s, and caught up with “Billy Jack” later. Hope she’s doin’ well:)
cindy is prob my fave character next to carol. however as linda in born losers I want to shake her by her arms and say what are you stupid?
Susan Foster was in one episode of Colubmo. Foster was in the fifth season episode, “Last Salute to the Commodore”, and played the character Lisa. Tom Laughlin / Billy Jack, Peter Falk / Columbo — all on the same web site. It doesn’t get any better than this!

(I commented earlier on the Bert Freed photos that Freed was the orginal Columbo before Falk. Freed was the first actor to portray Columbo and it was on a live television production. It was a one hour episode of NBC’s THE CHEVY MYSTERY SHOW called “Enough Rope”. )
