Tom Laughlin (Billy Jack) performed as Ensign Franklin in ‘Battle of the Coral Sea’, starring Cliff Robertson. (Tom had just worked with Robertson on ‘Gidget’ that same year, 1959.) I previously posted some photos of Tom on the set (and boat), and was sent some great photos by Michael Appel from his voluminous collection. Thank you, Michael!
‘Battle of the Coral Sea’ was the last film Tom would work on as an actor before he wrote, produced, directed, and starred in his first feature film, ‘The Proper Time’.
