Delores’ Parents Visit Trial of Billy Jack

Delores Taylor’s parents, Harry and Ann, came to visit during the filming of Trial of Billy Jack in Arizona in 1974. This was kind of a big deal because neither Harry or Ann were too keen on Delores marrying Tom, given his lack of career (at the time) or general financial stability… to say nothing of his being Catholic (they were Methodists). There was always a bit of strain, but most of that finally disappeared when it became clear there was hope. :-) Harry Taylor had been the postmaster in Winner, South Dakota, Delores’ home town. Ann had been a wife and mother. They were both now retired and traveling to see their extended families across the country.
