Next year, think of me too and pray for me as my birthday is also Aug 10. As my mother used to say “you can always tell a Leo but you can’t tell him much”. Much love from Massachusetts.
As a young sailor Tom Laughlin’s movies made such an impression on me that I thought I was ready to run away from the Navy and take up the good fight with “Billy Jack”. Willing suspension of disbelief (powerful stuff). Many thanks for all the wonderful entertainment and life lessons.

I have loved Billy Jack since the day I saw it in the theatres so many decades ago. It is a true legend! Thank you for taking the time and energy to push through all of the baloney to make this phenomenal movie!
i like how billy jack in THE BORN LOSERS tells the astrologist at the buffet his (Tom’s) actual birthday, aug 10.(after a brief pondering) just a sample of how much of Tom’s own heart and soul was put into Billyjack. im writing this march 25 2012, but now i know where to put Tom Laughlins’ next b day greeting!
Flipping channels and found Billy Jack was coming on, I was so excited, watching it now. Most people do not know he originated from Born Losers but I do! Great movies, great memories.
Hello Tom, This I hope will be the best way I can say Happy Birhtday!!!!
I just wanted you to know after about 40 Years I finally did my homework. I research the Ghost Dance started by Wovoka. I was quite impressed. See I am with the Knights of Columbus of the Catholic Church and when Listening to the Comentary DVD of Billy Jack and then did research on Wovoko and saw his Hat like your daughter got you and on the DVD it stated that everbody thought it was a stupid and silly hat but then I looked at the hat on Wovoka I stated to believe as we as Christins are suppose to believe in the invisible things of God. I think there was something going on during at least Billy Jack and The Trial of Billy Jack movies Goes. My reseach shows at least there is some link between Wovoka and Christianity big time. I think your daughter T.C. Played a real role in that. Why cause as I read it she bought you that hat as an holloween gift that you thought would be good to use in the movie but as it turns out that HAT seems to have been a part of Native American History that I think the Native Americans at that time Recognized that Hat and that of Wovoka and then the rest is History. The Film Billy Jack became the most important film of it’s time. Why? Because it told the story of Wovoka. The link between Native Amerian, Christianity and the Belief of God. Very COOL Indeed!!! You and Delores should be proud that the making of Billy Jack really turned out the way that it did. It was like a cross between a love story, Hisory, with a twist of Good vs. Evil. Very, very cool. Like I said I have been a Knight for a very long time and in a way I am like Indiana Jones as far as reseaching the Chritian Belief which means looking for clues and links between that of man and that of God. And Billy Jack comes real close in showing that. Thumbs UP! Big Time!
Sorry I missed your birthday. I just learned about it today. I like a lot of people grew up with Billy Jack and Jean. I really admire you and Delores Taylor because when I looked at some of the photos of you and Delores you can see the Love between you two. It is exactly the Love Jean had for Billy Jack. You are very lucky. I mean it has been over 30 years and still the magic of Billy Jack shines. That is something to be proud of. My best wishs to you and Delores!

Hello. I am sorry I missed your Birthday. I hope this message finds you. I watched Billy Jack as a child. I wanted to let you know that while I am sure my morals were to be a protector of all, especially the weak. Seeing your movie, frankly stuck with me until today and re-enforced those morals. I cannot imagine a more valuable movie of the time. I wish you blessings, and to pass the knowledge that you did make a difference, even if many were not prepared to learn from you, some of us were and did.
I thank you very much for your contribution. If modern media had half the moral fibre, the world would be a better place.
As a final note, I would love to buy a copy of the box set mentioned above, if you could please give me information on how to get it. I am currently taking a course in “Community Development” and would love to share it with my fellow students. Yes, student and I was a child all that time ago, that makes me older than most of my fellow student and many of my teachers. I’ve taken this course in hopes of bring about some of the changes that were brought to light in the movie as well as many others.
Thank you Tom and Delores you are special to more than just your family.
Ok I see where I can get it; I was a little excited and had not looked at the sight yet. I would truly value a signed copy by both Tom and Delores, of the 35 year ultimate collection. I know you probably get this a lot, however I cannot help but ask. Honestly, I could not help myself.
