Jinx Dawson (woman who sang ‘One Tin Soldier’ in the soundtrack of the film) performs with her band Coven in front of theater. Coven was a hard rock band and liked to play LOUD, even ballads like OTS.

Oh, Coven was very wild band, this version on pictures is quite tame …
Indeed. Didn’t mean to suggest they were tame, just that their performance in the middle of the day on a busy downtown street at Coven volumne (11 in Spinal Tap parlance) was quite a spectacle. (You have to understand rock n roll was NOT mainstream back in those days. It was NOT heard in ‘normal’ society.) Coven not only played loud, they played some of their other songs. If you don’t know Coven (meaning a band of witches) had been a satanically-themed band with songs about darkness, blood, curses, etc. So this was just about as big of a mismatch as you could get. (I’ve found Jinx Dawson on a myspace page and apparently she has kept the faith.)
