Okay, I admit it. This post has nothing to do with Billy Jack. But when I scanned the photo I posted yesterday (11/30/2010) of Tom, Delores, Christina and guests, I was blown away by the back cover. Two things caught my attention:
1) Look at Las Vegas! Holy cow! It is amazing to see how DRASTICALLY Las Vegas has changed from 1978. I believe that’s Las Vegas Blvd in the bottom of the photo. If you’ve been to Las Vegas in the last decade you know how incredible this image is. It looks like it’s out in the country for somewhere.
2) This may not be as obvious initially, but once you see it… SNOW! The parking lot and sidewalk are thoroughly dusted with snow… as in fall-from-the-sky snow. I looked it up online, and it’s not as rare for it to snow in Las Vegas as I imagined, but still what are the chances the hotel scheduled its big photo day on the morning after it did snow.
i have family in nevada and i still dont think about snow in vegas either! hmmm….
