The cast and crew of ‘Billy Jack’ invaded Prescott, Arizona in the fall of 1969. (I’m still looking for the camera slates to find the exact starting date.) But one date that is obvious - and memorable - was Thanksgiving Day, which was celebrated en masse by most of the cast and crew in a local Prescott restaraunt (which restaraunt, I also don’t know/remember). But I do remember there was turkey, there was mashed potatoes, there was gravy, and - perhaps just as importantly - there was football on TV.
Most amazing thing now, looking back at these pictures: the girl on the left of the frame (actually, cut off by the frame) in the first picture wearing what appear to be UGG boots… IN 1969!! This girl was a GENIUS, and could have made me rich. How did someone not pick up on this?!?
