I’ve gotten a couple of notes from regular viewers of this website requesting more coverage of the other films in our library. I will go back and dig up more production photos, but in the meantime, here are some screen grabs from the The Master Gunfighter.
In these pictures we’ve got Tom Laughlin, above, as the lead character, Finley McCloud, who has been marked for assassination by the Santiago family in early California. He is making his way back to stop the slaughter of innocent villagers, and the family is doing all they can to keep him from returning.
Below is the beautiful Barbara Carrera as Eula, her first film role. She made the transition from model to actress so beautifully that she was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Acting Debut in a Motion Picture - Female in 1976.
Bottom is Lincoln Kilpatrick who play a very suave undercover federal agent, Jacques. Nobody ever made an exquisitely embroidered outfit (by wardrobe designer and genius Patty Norris) look better. Or like he belonged in it. Sensational.

just reading what miss sosa says down there-i MUST see this movie! i dig gun slinger flics-and if the gun slinger in question’s ethics are anything like that of billyjack, then hes gotta be some bad dude.. with a good heart.
i was only 16 and remember waiting in the cold and sometimes rainy days but was at the time and now worth it. just to see billy jack (Tom Laughlin) i lived in Salinas, at that time and have told my children about it for years and just now looked it up.so glad i did. i used to watch it every time it came out, but now i haven’t seen it in a long time.
hopefully someday I’ll be able to see this movie
Lincoln Kilpatrick as suave charachter Jaques Sinclair : “would trade anything for a price”, so he says, but inside he was a deeply loyal human being for the cause of justice, forging an unlikely brotherhood with Finley, fighting to the very end…
I remember meeting Lincoln who was wearing Civet cologne, he was a gentle and beautiful soul, his talent, comedic timing, killer smile, signature walk, so warm… we will miss him <3

I remember sharing a trailer with Barbara at Big Sur for a while…. oh the hairspray & primping from the loving hands of Hair & makeup genius,Jeanne Burt- Reilly, and the intricate detailing the amazing award winning costumer Patricia Norris, Barbara was generously sharing her fresh fruit, canteloupe and beauty secrets, all in that infectious Carrera laugh! Eula was mild compared to Ms. Barbara… wonderful memories here*
I remember well the set at Goleta, the church, hideout where a Finley Mc Cloud(Tom) launched an attack against Paolo to stop a second massacre, fire on the promontory , swordplay and gunfire adainst a backdrop of lavish scenery at Big Sur where the Chumash and the sea reclaim their legacy…
